Request Logs

Rutter logs each of the requests that you send. Using the request ID header we return, you can find important information about each request you send.

This information includes your initial request, the response we send back, and any errors that may have occurred. For POST endpoints, we also include helpful intermediate data that can help you debug errors.

Request ID

To find the Request ID of a particular request, just retrieve the value of the X-Rutter-Request-ID header in the response. This header is returned for all requests.

Once you retrieve this ID, you can use it to filter the request log dashboard.

The Request Log dashboard

The request log dashboard is available in your Rutter Dashboard under the section "Request Logs". This is a beta feature that we have yet to roll out to all customers. If you're a current Rutter customer and want to use the dashboard, please reach out!
