MYOB Business Guide
Setting up the MYOB Business Integration
To access your users' data from MYOB Business, you need to enable the MYOB Business integration in the Platforms Page of the Rutter dashboard.
MYOB Business uses OAuth 2.0. You will need a registered MYOB developer app to obtain a client ID and client secret before enabling this integration.
User Authentication with MYOB Business
A Rutter Connection is created when your end user authenticates their MYOB Business account via Rutter Link. This in turn allows you to access their account data via the Rutter API.
MYOB Business uses a standard OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow. When the end user selects MYOB Business in Rutter Link, they are redirected to secure.myob.com to sign in and grant access. After granting access, they are prompted to select the specific company file (AccountRight company) they want to connect. Rutter pins the resulting connection to that single company file.
The user does not need to supply any credentials manually — the entire flow is handled through the MYOB sign-in page.
