Setting up the QuickBooks HRIS Integration
To access your users' data from QuickBooks HRIS, you need to enable the QuickBooks HRIS integration in the Platforms Page of the Rutter dashboard.
Because QuickBooks HRIS uses OAuth 2.0, you must create an Intuit developer app to obtain a client ID and client secret. Enter these credentials on the Rutter dashboard when configuring the QuickBooks HRIS integration.
User Authentication with QuickBooks HRIS
A Rutter Connection is created when your end user authenticates their QuickBooks HRIS account via Rutter Link. This in turn allows you to access their account data via the Rutter API.
The user is redirected to the Intuit OAuth authorization page at https://appcenter.intuit.com/connect/oauth2. After granting access, the user is redirected back to Rutter and a connection is established automatically using the user's Intuit Realm ID.
