Rillet Guide

Setting up the Rillet Integration

To access your users' data from Rillet, you need to enable the Rillet integration in the Platforms Page of the Rutter dashboard.

Rillet does not require any developer app setup. There is no OAuth flow and no client credentials to configure — each connection authenticates with an API key generated by your end user in their own Rillet account.

User Authentication with Rillet

A Rutter Connection is created when your end user authenticates their Rillet account via Rutter Link. This in turn allows you to access their account data via the Rutter API.

Rillet authenticates with a single API key. During the Rutter Link flow, your end user generates an API key in Rillet and pastes it into Rutter Link to complete the connection.

Step 2: Create an API key in Rillet.

In the Rillet dashboard, your end user should:

  1. Open Settings → API Access (under the Organization section).
  2. Click Create API key and give it a name (for example, "Rutter").
  3. Leave Read-only unchecked so the key has full access.
  4. Click Create API Key.

See Rillet's API documentation for more detail.

Note: Rillet displays the API key only once. Copy it before closing the dialog — it cannot be retrieved again later.

Copy the generated API key from Rillet and paste it into the API Key field in Rutter Link to complete the connection.

Permissions

The API key must have full (non read-only) access for Rutter to read all supported data. If endpoints return empty or partial results, verify that the key was created with Read-only unchecked. If you need to scope the integration more narrowly, reach out to your Rutter customer success manager so we can confirm which Rutter endpoints will continue to function.
