Ecwid Guide
Setting up the Ecwid Integration
To access your users' data from Ecwid, you need to enable the Ecwid integration in the Platforms Page of the Rutter dashboard.
Ecwid authenticates using a store ID and an API secret token, so no additional developer app setup is required.
User Authentication with Ecwid
A Rutter Connection is created when your end user authenticates their Ecwid store via Rutter Link. This in turn allows you to access their store data via the Rutter API.
The user supplies two values in Rutter Link:
- Store ID — the numeric identifier for their Ecwid store.
- Secret token — the store's API secret token.
Both values are available in the Ecwid control panel under Apps → My Apps → Legacy API keys, or via the Ecwid REST API documentation. Rutter uses these credentials to authenticate requests to the Ecwid API on the user's behalf.
